The problem

Elaine had a great business idea, helping college students and recent grads land internships, first jobs, and the confidence to walk into the real world. What she didn't have was a brand to carry it.

The solution

I interviewed Elaine and listened for her style before designing a thing. The brand came out of her own words: a confident collegiate navy, a warm orange, and a handwritten touch to keep it human.

1st Big Hire, From Campus to Career brand identity

1st Big Hire helps college students and recent grads land internships and first jobs: real preparation for the real world. Elaine came to me with the idea and the expertise, and no brand to carry them.

So we started the way every good brand starts: with questions. I interviewed Elaine and listened for her style, because it was already there in the way she talked about her work. The identity that came out of those conversations is confident and collegiate, a bold navy with a warm orange, and a handwritten line, From Campus to Career, that keeps the whole thing human.

The first website launched fast on a template platform, and it did the job. But the brand kept outgrowing the template, so I rebuilt the site custom, from the ground up, around the identity instead of squeezed into someone else's boxes.
